What we make

Custom hi vis vests, made in our own factory

A custom hi vis vest is a high-visibility safety vest built to your order rather than picked off a shelf. With Yolite you choose every part of it:

  • Base style – zipper, hook-and-loop, five-point breakaway, mesh, solid fabric or surveyor with pockets.
  • Visibility level – ANSI/ISEA 107-2020 Type R Class 2, EN ISO 20471 Class 1 or 2, or a non-certified “enhanced visibility” vest for events and staff.
  • Branding – your logo on the chest and back, reflective lettering such as SECURITY or STAFF, custom labels and polybag packing.
  • Fit and colour – fluorescent yellow, orange or red, contrast trim, size range from XS to 5XL.
When a custom vest is not the right buy: if you need 20 plain vests by next week, a stock vest from a local distributor is faster. Custom production makes sense when you want your brand on the vest, a specific spec, or a better unit price on volume.

Vest styles

Choose the base for your custom hi vis vest

Every style can carry your logo. Pick the one that fits the job, and we build it in your colours and size range.

Zipper hi vis vest

The everyday crew vest. A full front zipper stays closed on windy sites and looks neat under a printed logo.

Breakaway safety vest

Five-point tear-away closures for work near moving vehicles and machinery, traffic control and public safety.

Mesh vest with pockets

Breathable polyester mesh for hot climates, with chest pockets, ID holder and optional dark bottom panel.

Surveyor vest

Multi-pocket vest for engineers, supervisors and survey crews, with tablet pocket and mic tabs.

Contrast-tape vest

Silver reflective tape on orange or yellow contrast trim for higher daytime contrast and a branded look.

Coloured & event vests

Blue, red, green and black vests for events, volunteers and staff identification where certified hi-vis is not required.

Customization

Four ways to put your logo on a hi vis vest

The right method depends on your artwork, the vest fabric and how often the vests are washed. We recommend one when we see your logo.

Screen printed logo on the chest of a custom hi vis vest

Screen printing

Lowest unit cost on volume for one- to three-colour logos. Ink sits in the fabric and survives industrial washing when matched to polyester.

Two-colour heat transfer logo on the back of a custom hi vis vest

Heat transfer

Best for detailed or full-colour logos and small runs. A pressed film gives sharp edges on mesh and solid fabric.

Embroidered logo patch on a black safety vest with hi vis trim

Embroidery

The premium look for supervisor and corporate vests. Usually applied as a patch so stitching does not pucker mesh.

Reflective STAFF lettering on the back of an orange hi vis vest

Reflective lettering

Words like SECURITY, STAFF or your company name cut from retroreflective film, visible in headlights at night.

Standards

Your logo on the vest, compliance intact

Most buyers of custom hi vis vests need them to pass a standard, not just look the part. A logo can break compliance when it covers too much fluorescent background or sits on top of the reflective tape. We design around that from the first mockup:

  • Logos go on the fluorescent background, above or between the bands, never over the retroreflective tape.
  • The minimum visible background and reflective areas are checked on the smallest size in your order.
  • For North America we build to ANSI/ISEA 107-2020 (Type R or P, Class 2); for Europe, the UK and Australia-bound EU-spec orders to EN ISO 20471 (Class 1 or 2).
  • Test reports are issued per style and fabric; ask for the report that matches your spec.

FAQ

Custom hi vis vest questions

What is a custom hi vis vest?
A custom hi vis vest is a high-visibility safety vest made to your specification: your logo or text, your choice of base style (zipper, breakaway, mesh, surveyor), fluorescent colour, reflective tape layout, pockets, sizes and labels. Yolite makes them in its own factory in Ningbo, China, for distributors, contractors and safety brands.
Will adding a logo affect ANSI or EN ISO 20471 compliance?
It can if the logo is too large or covers the reflective tape. Under ANSI/ISEA 107-2020 and EN ISO 20471 the vest must still meet the minimum visible fluorescent and reflective areas after the logo is added, and logos must not cover the retroreflective bands. We place logos on the fluorescent background, above or between the bands, and check the area on the smallest size you order.
Which logo method lasts longest on a hi vis vest?
Screen printing and good heat transfer both hold up to regular industrial washing on polyester when the ink or film is matched to the fabric. Embroidery is the most durable but is heavier and works best as a patch on solid fabric rather than stitched straight into mesh. Our logo method comparison explains when to use each.
Can a custom hi vis vest be ANSI Class 3?
Not on its own. ANSI/ISEA 107-2020 and EN ISO 20471 both require sleeves (or full-length legs) for Class 3, so a sleeveless vest tops out at Class 2. If your crews need Class 3, pair a Class 2 vest with Class E trousers, or choose a sleeved hi vis shirt or jacket.
What do I need to send for a quote?
Your logo file (vector AI, PDF, EPS or SVG is best), the vest style or a photo of what you use now, the standard required (ANSI/ISEA 107 Type and Class, or EN ISO 20471 Class), colour, logo positions, size breakdown, quantity and delivery country. The how-to-order guide has a full checklist.
Do you make a sample before bulk production?
Yes. After you approve the digital mockup we make a physical sample with your logo, so you can check the colour, print position, size and feel before bulk production starts.
What is the minimum order quantity?
MOQ depends on the base vest and the logo method, because screen printing and embroidery have set-up costs per design and colour. Tell us your quantity in the quote form and we will confirm the MOQ and price break for that style.
